Fowler Challenge Winners Receive $10,000 Scholarships

The first annual Fowler Business Concept Challenge finals were held at the University of St. Thomas on October 30, 2009. Twenty-eight teams competed in the morning semifinals, with four teams from each of the graduate and undergraduate divisions being awarded prizes in the afternoon. Top prize of a $10,000 UST scholarship in the graduate division went to iApply (Derek Buschow and Jeremiah Messerer), while the winning concept from the undergraduate division was 5th Corner Media (Matt Lichtfuss  and Zach Neugebauer).

Over the next few months, the Schulze School of Entrepreneurship will work with some of the teams to prepare them for national business plan competitions. These concepts will turn into full plans complete with marketing plans and financial projections.
