A great seminary. A great university.

Established in 1968, Saint John Vianney College Seminary is located on the campus of the University of St. Thomas, near the banks of the Mississippi River in St. Paul, Minnesota. The mission of Saint John Vianney is to foster the seeds of a priestly vocation and prepare young men for the major seminary through a life of prayer, conversion, study, formation, fraternity, service, and apostolic zeal. It is founded upon the norms of the Decree of the Second Vatican Council on the Training of Priests, Optatam Totius; the Apostolic Exhortation of Pope John Paul II, Pastores Dabo Vobis; and The Program of Priestly Formation from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. Our work is carried out in collaboration with the University of St. Thomas.

Men in Christ. Men of the Church. Men for Others.
