Student Opportunity Center

St. Thomas has recently partnered with the Student Opportunity Center (SOC) - the largest national database of student research, conferences, funding, scholarships, and other experiential opportunities.

This platform is hosted by the Aquinas Scholars Honors Program and the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program, and it is available to all students.

SOC Connect for Students

Anyone with a email address can register for the SOC here.

Register to create an account and password and start searching!

You are invited to register today to start searching, tracking, and applying for more kinds of experiences that will enhance your academic success. All it takes is a email address – register for free!

Once you’ve logged on for the first time, you can search and favorite upcoming opportunities that fit your major, your future career and graduate school plans, and your schedule. Filter by on-campus, local/regional, and national experiences as you explore what’s possible.

If you have questions about how to use the SOC, you can contact or refer to the SOC help center.

Faculty and staff are encouraged to register for and explore the SOC. Notify your students of this platform, and consider incorporating it into your advising and mentoring to get your students connected to the experiences that are the best fit for them.

Do you have an on-campus research, scholarship, or presentation opportunity that you are trying to advertise to St. Thomas undergraduates? We can add that to the SOC! St. Thomas opportunities appear only to our students and come up in their searches for relevant experiences. You can submit an experience to be uploaded to the SOC by completing this form.
