Why were you interested in transferring to St. Thomas?
I realized my support system is very important to me and I knew I would do better academically and personally at a school closer to home. Looking back, I would never trade my experience at San Diego, but I am very happy to be back home.

Who or what encouraged you to apply to St. Thomas?
I applied to St. Thomas because I could not find a more well-rounded or academically rigorous school.  St. Thomas fell in line with my Catholic ideals and its small student body seemed like a great place to call home.

What do you think is St. Thomas’ biggest strength?
St. Thomas’ greatest strength is the amazing communication and personal relationships the staff create with each student. The small class sizes and the great amount of clubs and organizations provide a unique opportunity for every student to feel involved and included.

What do you like about our location?
I am a city girl and the Twin Cities has everything to offer. I love being able to walk around the community and explore the shops and restaurants. As a student, it is also great to be surrounded by great job opportunities and companies in the surrounding metro area.

What advice do you have for prospective transfer students?
I would tell a prospective transfer student to not be afraid and just to trust that a new experience could be the best choice you make.  I know I was afraid of transferring and not knowing anyone, but I would want every prospective student to know that there is a place for them here in the Tommie community and that they can find their home here.
