Tommies Together Volunteer Center was a proud co-sponsor of Community Engagement Day as a part of Student Affairs' 2016 Welcome Week on Sunday, September 4th.
During Community Engagement Day, incoming first-years attended volunteer info sessions for co-curricular service opportunities, as well as on-campus organizations dedicated to advancing the Common Good through volunteerism.
Here's a snapshot of just a few of this year's attendees:
Free Arts Minnesota
Free Arts Minnesota is a non-profit organization that provides youth in challenging circumstances a safe place for expression and self discovery.
Habitat for Humanity
Be a part of stabilizing housing for hundreds of Twin Cities’ families each year by helping with everything from construction to serving as a resource for families as they settle into their new homes.
Sexual Violence Center
Our mission to eradicate sexual violence and abuse by challenging the systems and individuals that promote privilege, oppression and domination; educating those that will join us as advocates and catalysts for change; and supporting those who have been victimized, empowering them to not only survive but thrive, finding power and movement in our collective voices.
