Billing and Cost Information

The cost of studying abroad is comparable to tuition, room, and board in St. Paul (plus airfare). However, your cost will depend on the program to which you are applying. In general, your grants, loans, and scholarships can be applied to the program fee for semester and year-long programs as long as you are approved to study abroad through the Office of Study Abroad.

Your St. Thomas student account will be billed for your study abroad program charges such as tuition, fees, room, and board. These charges may include an Off-Campus Study Fee and an estimated $50/month CISI required insurance charge.

Find your program costs by navigating to 'Search for a Program' and clicking on 'Cost' towards the top of the online program brochure page.

Calculate out-of-pocket costs for studying abroad by using the Financial Aid Action Steps worksheets.
