 Flu Shot Clinic Schedule

Anderson Student Center (ASC), 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM

  • Thursday, November 7, 2013                   ASC 237

Due to the tremendous response to the UST Flu Clinics (over 1000 of us have been vaccinated this year!), an additional Flu Clinic has been added on Thursday, November 7th from 8:30 am-4 pm in ASC room 237. Simply stop by and get your flu shot. It takes only minutes to protect yourself and those around you from getting the flu. When adequate numbers of our community becomes immunized against influenza we function like a firewall protecting even those who are not immunized against influenza. Epidemiological studies show that the elderly, who face the highest mortality risk from influenza, are best protected by vaccination of young individuals, who contribute to the highest disease transmission.

The Minnesota Department of Health is now reporting sporadic spread of influenza in the metropolitan area and if historical influenza outbreaks hold true for this year, there will be an increase in activity over the next few weeks.  It takes about 2 weeks for antibodies to develop after receiving the flu shot.  Now is the time to protect yourself and others.

Students, faculty and staff  who are unable to attend a flu shot clinic may schedule an appointment at UST Health Services online via myHealthPortal or by calling 651-962-6750.

Flu shots are covered under the UST-sponsored Aetna Student Health Insurance plan, the UST Blue Cross/Blue Shield plan and most health insurance companies. Cost of flu shots will be submitted to all health insurance plans.

The cost is $20 for those not covered by insurance.

Remember to enter flu shot for Vitality Wellness points!
