Application Requirements

It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that the Graduate Admissions Office of the University of St. Thomas has received all documents needed to complete the application for admission.

An application is considered complete when the Graduate Admissions Office has received:

  • Completed online application including your personal essay/theological reflection
  • Non-refundable $40 application fee
  • All letters of recommendation (Applicants within 5 years of last date of enrollment are required to provide letters of recommendation by academic references.)
  • Official GRE or MAT scores (school code: 006110)
  • An official transcript, sent directly from the academic institution, showing an earned Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Official transcripts, sent directly from each academic institution, including all previous undergraduate and graduate work
  • All additional application requirements for the program to which you are applying
  • All application materials submitted to the Graduate Admissions Office shall be retained by the University

Once the application is complete, an interview with The Saint Paul Seminary School of Divinity Recruitment and Admissions Coordinator will be arranged. From this interview, additional materials may be requested.
