God calls men of all ages and talents to serve His Church, proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ to His people. Men who answer this important call need and deserve a solid experience of formation in the many aspects of a holy and well-disciplined priestly life. I am pleased with the excellent formation The Saint Paul Seminary provides to men preparing for ordained ministry to God’s people. The seminary's legacy is evident in its alumni, who serve with great competence in parishes and institutions throughout our region and beyond. For me, cultivating priestly vocations is a key aspect of my episcopate, and I wholeheartedly support and recommend the important work of The Saint Paul Seminary.

The laity makes a vital contribution, in so many ways, to the life of the Church. For those who are called to engage their gifts as professional lay ministers, they need and deserve the best formation possible. I am pleased with the quality formation and theological resources offered by the School of Divinity. Its graduates are well prepared to serve the Church and the world by witnessing to the Gospel of Jesus Christ in many and significant ways.

Most Reverend John C. Nienstedt
