Noted Catholic scholar and speaker, Dr. Janet Smith, will be speaking on “The Real Meaning of Responsible Parenthood.”

Dr. Janet Smith is a professor of moral theology and the Fr. Michael J. McGivney Chair of Life Issues at the Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Smith is also the recipient of the Siena Symposium’s 2015 Humanitarian Leadership Award and will be formally receiving the award after her talk that night. The award is issued annually by the Symposium to honor women who have advocated for an authentic vision of womanhood and have contributed in substantive ways to the recovery of the culture of life.
