From half-day events on campus to overnight destinations, our retreats are open to every student regardless of religious affiliation.
Spiritual Programming
We offer a variety of spiritual programs tailored to Catholic, ecumenical and interfaith audiences so that all members of our community are supported in their spiritual growth, discernment, prayer and liturgical life, and are encouraged and enabled to serve the needs of our world.
Even though Campus Ministry offers programs tailored to specific audiences, all of our programs are open to all participants regardless of their religious affiliation.
Campus Ministry sponsors spiritual formation programs for students (undergraduate and graduate), faculty and staff on both the St. Paul and Minneapolis campuses.
Unless otherwise specified, there is no charge to members of the university community for on-campus events.

Retreats
Peer Ministry
Peer Ministers are committed to helping other students to deepen their relationship with God and to live out the Gospel call to love and serve our neighbors, by creating meaningful encounters.
Tommie Catholic
Be a part of "the gateway to everything Catholic on campus." Tommie Catholic is a lively community of students who authentically embrace their Catholic faith and make Jesus the center of their lives. Each week is planned by students, for students.
Duc in Altum
Duc in Altum is a regularly offered faith formation program that is rooted in Catholic teaching and offers St. Thomas students an opportunity to explore their Catholic faith more deeply and apply it to their own lives.
Faith Sharing Groups
Faith Sharing Groups are small communities of six to eight students who meet weekly during the academic year. Guided by student facilitators, these small groups are a great space to create strong friendships, grow together in faith, and nourish your relationship with God.
Hispanic Student Programming
We offer a variety of opportunities for Hispanic students to build community, celebrate their traditions and enrich their faith. Don't miss the Our Lady of Guadalupe Celebration, which features a bilingual Mass, Serenata, and Fiesta.
Muslim Student Life
Find information about Muslim clubs, prayer spaces, and different events happening around campus. Programming highlights include Iftar dinners and other resources during Ramadan and our Eid Banquet celebration.
Unity in Diversity Interfaith Programming
Peace Meals
Peace Meals gathers people from different faith traditions and religious identities to share a meal and have honest discussions, with the goal of building greater awareness and understanding of each other's worldviews.
Peace Meals offers a path forward to build community and understanding across lines of religious and cultural division by gathering at the common table for food, friendship, and hospitality.
World of Celebrations
Held during the annual "Holidays at St. Thomas" in December, World of Celebrations is an opportunity to showcase holidays from around the world through sharing crafts, snacks, and activities associated with the special days. Both domestic and international students can present the holidays that are important to them and share the symbols and activities that make those celebrations special.
Co-sponsored by Campus Ministry, the Office of International Students and Scholars, Residence Life, and the Diversity Activities Board, this event showcases various holidays from around the world celebrated by members of our UST community.

Meditation and Contemplative Practices
All are invited to get away from the hectic rhythm of life and encounter a space of silence and spiritual depth as we practice different kinds of meditation and contemplative practices for spiritual well-being.
The world today thirsts for spirituality. The rapid changes of the modern world and its accelerated pace calls for pause in our daily lives. Contemplative practices are concrete and specific ways in which we can make a pause for our spiritual well-being. They are intentional actions that give practical purpose to faith and meaning.
Additional Initiatives
Prison Ministry
Prison ministry offers you an opportunity to show solidarity with those who experience prison life.
Praying and serving through writing letters to prisoners and contributing to video-recorded prayer opportunities for prisoners we encounter Christ in those who are deprived of freedom.
Rosary for Life
An all-campus rosary procession during Respect Life month unites students to witness the dignity of all Human Life and pray for the unborn.
