Visiting Assistant Clinical Professor (Field Coordintor)

Due to an unexpected vacancy, The Social Work Department at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls is seeking candidates for a contract, Non-tenure position at a full-time (12 credit), load or any part-time consideration thereof.

Responsibilities available:

Field Coordination (3 credits/semester) responsible for monitoring Senior Field placements, support and mentoring field instructors. Orienting & processing senior field application process in spring and organizing and arranging placements with agencies and instructors.

Field Liaison  (3 credits/semester) Meeting once a week with a small group of senior students to process and mentor their field experience. Maintain direct contact with field instructors and support instructor-student relations ship (up to 10 student-agency relationships).

Class: SOWK 250 “Use, Abuse & Addiction”  T-TH at 8AM to 9:15. (3 credits/semester)  Harm reduction based undergraduate course- much of the curriculum is already prepared.

Class: SOWK 389  “Special Topics in Social Work”  T-TH at 9:30AM to 10:45 (3 credits/semester) (preferable a child/adolescent Mental health treatment- also many materials already prepared, but would be willing to consider other major topics).

This is an emergency hire, and we would prefer to package the vacancies in a single position. Interested candidates should be able to demonstrate a minimum of an MSW degree with 2 years Post-Master’s experience. Prior teaching experience preferred. Doctoral Candidates in Social Work preferred.
