[Suicide Prevention Coordinator]

METROPOLITAN STATE UNIVERSITY, a vibrant and growing public, urban university, is seeking applicants for the position of Suicide Prevention Grant Coordinator. This is a full time probationary position within the Counseling Service unit of the Student Success Division]. This position is responsible for the planning and coordination of suicide prevention trainings and events as well as data compilation across Metro States sites.

  • Planning and coordinating trainings and events
  • Developing sustainable, ongoing training system
  • Compile and maintain grant data
  • Supervision of student workers
  • Fulfill requirements of the SAMHSA GLS Campus Suicide Prevention Grant

Minimum Qualifications:
The following qualifications are required of all applicants seeking consideration for this position. Only applicants whose resumes clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for the position:

  • Masters degree in Counseling , Higher Ed, Public Health or related field
  • 2 years of related experience
  • Experience implementing and coordinating programs in a higher education environment
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills to groups of all sizes and makeup
  • Demonstrated ability to work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds
