The Center for Victims of Torture is hiring a Mental Health Case Manager and Social Worker to be responsible for providing targeted case management to refugee war trauma and torture survivors in primary care clinics in St. Paul. The services are provided within the context of a interdisciplinary team which includes a client coordinator, psychotherapists and medical providers.

Qualifications:

Required education, experience, certificates, licenses or registrations

  • Bachelor of Social Work
  • 2 years of cross-cultural experience providing social work in a social services or healthcare / mental health setting, to include the ability to intervene appropriately in a therapeutic manner based on the psychological presentation of clients
  • LSW required

Preferred education, experience, certificates, licenses or registrations

  • Master of Social Work
  • LGSW or LICSW
  • 3 or more years of cross-cultural experience providing social work in a social services or health care / mental health setting, to include the ability to intervene appropriately in a therapeutic manner based on the psychological presentation of clients
  • Experience with refugee and survivors of war trauma or torture
