Social Work Day at the Capitol 2019

NASW-MN Social Work Day at the Capitol 2017

Make our voices heard!

Date & Time:

Monday, April 8, 2019
9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

NEW LOCATION! Union Depot, 214 4th Street East, St. Paul, MN 55101

The St. Kate's - St. Thomas free registration for BSW & MSW students is now closed.

SWDAC is the one day a year where professional social workers, social work students, and social work educators come together to learn, march, rally and lobby our state lawmakers about matters of social policy that affect our clients, our profession, and the citizens of Minnesota.

Our voices at the Capitol are more important now than ever!

Here's what you need to know:

  1. The St. Kate's - St. Thomas School of Social Work is offered FREE registration for all current BSW & MSW students who registered through the school by March 14.  We have forwarded the list of those who registered to NASW-MN.
  2. If you didn't register through the school by March 14, you will have to register yourself with NASW-MN and pay your own way. NASW-MN SWDAC page»

9:00 AM: Community Leaders & Legislative Updates - Union Depot

12:30 PM: March to the Capitol & Rally in the Rotunda

2:00 PM: Meet with Legislators

There is no school t-shirt contest this year, so you can either wear a past Day at the Capitol t-shirt, a St. Kate's, St. Thomas or SSW purple shirt, or can purchase a NASW-MN 2019 Day at the Capitol t-shirt at the DAC event.
