LERC is an interactive course that builds confidence in helping you pass the Social Work licensure exam. The course is designed for all levels of licensure, providing a one-day training for the BSW-level exam (LSW), and a two-day training for master's-level exams (LGSW, LISW, and LICSW). They are held quarterly, on the last Saturday and Sunday of the month. (January, April, July and October)

The Licensing Examination Review Course is equally co-sponsored by the Minnesota Society for Clinical Social Work (MSCSW) and the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), Minnesota Chapter.  All instructors are social workers drawn from NASW-MN and MSCSW membership (Minnesota Society for Clinical Social Work). Most instructors are in clinical practice, with some also teaching at area schools of social work.

The course will:

  • Strengthen test taking skills
  • Reduce test anxiety
  • Review the knowledge base of Social Work concepts and theories

  • Test taking pointers
  • Exam content review
  • Written and oral practice questions
  • Comprehensive manual
