Using Motivational Interviewing to Cultivate Empowerment & Change Across Systems

Hosted by the Field Practice Institute, St. Catherine University–University of St. Thomas School of Social Work

This interactive workshop will include a broad overview of Motivational Interviewing concepts and skills and its connection to social work values and practice. A group of panelists will then discuss the application of Motivational Interviewing across a variety of practice settings, with diverse populations, and at all levels of practice. Participants will be encouraged to think about how and why they might integrate Motivational Interviewing into their individual and organizational practices. Certificate of Attendance provided: 3 contact hours.
