Citizen Katie Day is a volunteer blitz with students, alumnae, faculty and staff working side by side at nonprofit organizations around the Twin Cities and in alumnae chapters across the country. The Twin Cities event begins with a breakfast on the St. Catherine campus before volunteers head out to work sites at nonprofits throughout the the area. Transportation to and from campus is provided. Citizen Katie began as a student initiative in 2005. In 2012, the event was expanded to include alumnae, faculty and staff. Citizen Katie is a joint effort between Community Work and Learning, Residence Life, Student Center and Activities and Alumnae Relations. This event has grown in number of participants and volunteer sites each year, and we look forward to taking another step forward in 2014.
