The Field Practice Institute aims to provide a variety of professional development opportunities to partnering field instructors. These opportunities include a focus on best supervisory practices, ethics, diversity and difference, and integrating the core competencies and practice behaviors into the supervisory process.
In addition, the Field Practice Institute offers an Annual Summit on Emerging Issues in Social Work Practice. In continuing to foster a sense of seamlessness between social work education and practice, we take this opportunity to bring field instructors, students, faculty and practitioners together to explore emerging issues, dialogue about challenges, successes and opportunities, and to consider future collaboration.
