Mapping Toxic Flooding Vulnerability in Houston
St. Thomas undergraduate Victoria Orchard produced a visual analysis of toxic flooding vulnerability in Houston, mapping potential impacts of hazardous and toxic chemicals in the face of natural disaster. Orchard undertook this research in GEOG 350 Geography of Global Health, an elective in the SMDS minor.
"I want to be part of the necessary change to make our world more sustainable," says Victoria Orchard. "Geography of Global Health provided me with the skillset and knowledge I need to further my career with a global perspective of health and sustainability."
