About Us

Woman and man, authentically understood

Siena Symposium for Women, Family, and Culture invites people of all walks of life to deepen their understanding of authentic femininity and masculinity in order to reclaim a culture of life.

  • Siena Symposium was organized to respond to Pope St. John Paul II’s call to women, found in Evangelium Vitae, to articulate a vision of authentic womanhood and establish a culture of life.
  • Our mission is to come to a deeper understanding of the complementarity that characterizes the relationship of men and women in order to free both of them to exercise their gifts in the service of the kingdom.
  • We achieve this mission through research and writing of gifted scholars and through public workshops, seminars and conferences.
  • We hope to serve as a local and national nexus for the study and promotion of a true understanding of authentic womanhood – a new and true feminism – as well as that of a true understanding of what it means to be an authentic man.
