Punta Gorda, Belize
Sustainability, Conservation, and Rural Education
VISION will join with the Ya’axché Conservation Trust, which strives for harmony between nature and human development for the benefit of both. The Trust manages 770,000 acres in the Maya Golden Landscape, whose forests and rivers are threatened by climate change, illegal and unsustainable logging, agriculture, and development. Alongside rangers, scientists, program staff, and local communities, participants will engage with forest conservation, integrated farming, and sustainable community stewardship.
VISION will also partner with the nearby St. Peter Claver Parish, which is responsible for 30 schools in rural villages. Participants will help with a local improvement project in a region that struggles with insufficient access to education and economic opportunity.

Quito, Ecuador
Breaking the Cycle of Generational Poverty
VISION will partner with a Jesuit-founded local organization that empowers families in Quito to break the cycle of generational poverty. The Center - A Family of Families offers comprehensive educational, human rights, spiritual, and skills & trades-based programming, as well as health services.
VISION will engage with the Center's mission in action, participate in community, work alongside families in need, and more. There will also be time to explore Quito, experience Ecuadorian culture firsthand, and encounter the unique biodiversity of the Mindo Cloudforest.
