What is Volunteers In Action?
Volunteers-In-Action (VIA) is an Office for Service and Social Justice-affiliated service organization aimed at serving the people of the Twin Cities Metro Area. VIA works to educate students on social justice issues present in the Cities and issues they may encounter at their specific site. VIA also hosts a variety of events, such as volunteer appreciation dinners, sponsors on-campus service days, like Community Clean-Up Day, and much more! VIA is a great way to get involved on campus and meet other students who are interested in serving!
Join us today to live out our motto, “Service is a lifestyle,” and experience the power of making a difference!
What does VIA believe in?
Volunteers in Action is centered on connections through volunteering, with fellow volunteers and our sites. Our goal is simple - create a strong on campus group of service oriented individuals through reflection and connection with fellow volunteers, and move into the greater twin cities community, responding to our responsibility to serve. Our club upholds the idea that our volunteers learn and grow by serving our surrounding community. We give of ourselves to the people we serve, and accept the love and impact that is returned.
