Susan Anderson-Benson

Susan Anderson-Benson has worked at the Selim Center at the University of St. Thomas since 2005. She is also an occasional instructor for music courses in the Center's lecture series and event programming. She has taught music since 1974, and earned Bachelors and Masters degrees in music from the University of Minnesota and is ABD in ethnomusicology. She is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota, the international music fraternity, and is a past president of the Minneapolis/St. Paul alumnae chapter. An active performer, her passion is sharing the "story behind the music" and engaging others in music-making and appreciation.
