Lana Weber

Strategy Advisor, Cheval Partners

Lana Weber is a Strategy Advisory at Cheval Partners where she works with leaders to innovate and facilitate the development of organizational capabilities, innovation practices, and ecosystem engagement.  Cheval, a Minnesota firm, guides companies, economic development organizations, academic institutions, and foundations to identify, evaluate, and execute on transformative opportunities, giving them the agility and competitive advantage.

Lana’s career spans local, regional and global companies and foundations.  She has held leadership positions at UnitedHealth Group, Medtronic, and Cushman & Wakefield | NorthMarq.  In each of these roles, Lana brought vision and practical application to expand markets and drive new business models, partnerships, and platforms.  Lana’s areas of expertise include strategic consulting and planning, global growth and innovation, governance and risk leadership, merger and acquisition due diligence and integration, economic development and public incentive program development, and corporate real estate.

Throughout her career, Lana gravitated toward efforts that require collaboration to get things done.  The Risk Leadership Initiative resonated with Lana in its focus and mission as it “focuses on the broader risks that are beyond a single organization’s ability to address.”  Lana was a risk management student of Dr. Young’s at St. Cloud State University and finds synergy with the University of St. Thomas’s Risk focus and her life’s work.

Lana enjoys spending time with my family, international travel, photography, reading and whenever possible, being on the lake.  She’s a passionate supporter of the local non-profit, CornerHouse, which helps kids and vulnerable adults that have been sexually abused or witnessed violence.
