How to Be a Moral Hero: What I Learned from Classical Philosophers, Contemporary Psychologists, and Real-Life Ethical Rock Stars
What do Confucius, psychologist Roy Baumeister, and waitress Gloria Lewis have in common? They can help us learn to be better people!
Dr. Giebel develops, in her book project, a set of combined insights from classical Confucian and Socratic philosophy, contemporary psychology, and her own interviews of living moral exemplars. The result of her work includes a set of practical lessons, illustrated by inspiring stories, for those of us who would like to be more virtuous but aren't quite sure where to start. In her presentation, she will share a few of her favorite highlights from those stories and life lessons.
