Prepare Your Child to Compete in a Global Economy

The Rome CORE Semester gives students from a wide range of majors the chance to experience a semester abroad. Your child can prepare for a competitive workplace by acquiring intercultural experience while pursuing classes that fulfill core requirements at St. Thomas. Site visits, cultural events and volunteer opportunities with social service organizations will enhance your child’s global awareness and academic learning.

All fall 2017 program participants will receive a Bernardi Rome fund award up to $2,000 to help defray program expenses such as airfare, meals and books. Most students can also use their existing financial aid, which makes costs comparable to studying on campus.

An expanded list of classes will be offered this fall. CORE students fulfill four core requirements during their semester in Rome, allowing them to benefit from study abroad while staying on track for graduation. We encourage interested students to contact Academic Counseling & Support or their faculty adviser to learn how the Rome CORE Semester will fit into their degree plan.
