Wellness Center Tips for a Successful End to the Semester

The Wellness Center has outlined a number of resources for your student to have a healthy and successful end to the semester.

As we enter the final stretch of the semester, remind your student of the resources available on campus including those found at the Center for Student Achievement, the Center for Writing and the library.  In early May, the Center for Writing, St. Thomas Libraries, and the Wellness Center are hosting a library event to help students prepare for end of the semester papers and exams. Encourage your student to visit the O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library from 7-10 p.m. on Monday, May 6, for study tips, tutors, snacks and more.     

If your student needs reminders to relax, meditation podcasts are available online anytime and the Wellness Center offers student-led meditation twice a week.  Other events sponsored by the Wellness Center can be found here.  

If your student is feeling overwhelmed, anxious or sad, St. Thomas offers online support through Learn to Live. Access codes and more information about this free, confidential online program is available here.  

Let your student know that Health Services offers massage appointments in 15 minute increments. St. Thomas’ certified massage therapist can help students work out their stress. Appointments are offered on Wednesdays from noon to 2 p.m. Students should call ahead to book a massage. More information can be found here
