Preparing for Move Out
Greetings Parents from Residence Life,
We hope that this academic year has been a positive and fulfilling year for your student/s. We also hope their experience in the residence halls has supported their development as a college student. If you have any feedback for us, please let us know.
As your student prepares to move out in May, here are some helpful tips that you can share with them. Doing an all-room pickup/clean in April will help identify what items can be discarded, donated, or taken home prior to move out. Residence Life and Facilities Management will provide donation bins in each hall to donate food, clothing, electronics, small appliances, etc. We will also provide an opportunity to donate large furniture like futons, couches, chairs, etc. Plan for move out to occur within 24 hours of their last final. Allow enough time to remove items, clean the room and check out with their RA/AC.
If your student is staying on campus for the summer, please have them refer to their instructions for summer housing.
