"Rwandan genocide survivor Immaculée Ilibagiza, author of "Left to Tell: Discovering God Amidst the Rwandan Holocaust," will speak at 7 p.m. May 9 at the Basilica of St. Mary in Minneapolis. Ilibagiza will speak on forgiveness and her experience of spending 91 days hiding in a bathroom with seven other women during the Rwandan genocide. A book signing and reception will take place after the lecture. Ilibagiza also will be the keynote speaker for "Global Perspectives," a conference on the relationship between mental health and spirituality, held from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Schulze Hall Auditorium at the University of St. Thomas, 1000 LaSalle Ave., Minneapolis.
