  • “MacPhail Center 's groundbreaking, of course, will be set to music,” Star Tribune, Sept. 13, 2006. “MacPhail's existing building at 1128 LaSalle Ave. has been sold to the University of St. Thomas.” https://www.startribune.com/1375/story/673185.html
  • “On weekend rides, good causes clashed with bad conditions,” St. Paul Pioneer Press, Sept. 17, 2006. “Part II of the weekend started on a familiar note, with gray sky and similar temperatures blanketing the Twin Cities on Sunday morning, but the difference was I could ride my bike about six miles from home to the University of St. Thomas for the gigantic St. Paul Bike Classic, a 30-mile ride around the city that often draws nearly 7,000 participants.” https://www.twincities.com/mld/twincities/sports/columnists/bruce_brothers/15519700.htm
  • “The restaurant comes to the office,” Star Tribune, Sept. 18, 2006. “The expert says: Lorman Lundsten, chair of the marketing department at the University of St. Thomas College of Business, said Creative Corporate Catering's showcase is a good idea.  ‘In the service jargon, it's an 'experience service,'’ Lundsten said. ‘You have to have people try it to know what it's like.’ Aiming it at administrative assistants, the decision-makers when it comes to corporate catering, also is smart.” https://www.startribune.com/535/story/680581.html
  • “Wilsons Leather gamble,” St. Paul Pioneer Press, Sept. 18, 2006. “Dave Brennan, a Twin Cities retail academic, said that Wilsons faces a big challenge in its latest turnaround as it tries to thread the needle between moving upscale but not directly competing against such leather names as Coach and Gucci. ‘That's a very difficult hill to re-climb,’ said Brennan, co-director of the Institute for Retailing Excellence at the University of St. Thomas.” https://www.twincities.com/mld/twincities/business/special_packages/business_cover_stories/15530310.htm
  • “Is Fantasy Football a business nightmare?” KARE-11 TV, Sept. 18, 2006.   “At the University of Saint Thomas, the mixture of Fantasy Football and business gets mixed reviews. Professor of Business Law Dawn Swink said, ‘I think the numbers are low. I think that many people are under-reporting the amount of time that they're spending.’ In fact she believes the cost could be closer to $2 billion. But Psychology Professor John Tauer sees benefits for employees. ‘I may not have much control in my company, but I do decide who gets to play on Sunday. And so to the extent that companies could foster not only that camaraderie, but also a sense of control in their employees and autonomy, I think that would be really beneficial,’ said Tauer.” https://www.kare11.com/news/news_article.aspx?storyid=133560
