Christmas just came early if you're hoping for a metal file cabinet.
Central Receiving, which is cleaning out its Shoreview warehouse in preparation for upcoming campus moves, has 15 metal file cabinets available free of charge to members of the UST community. The cabinets, some two-drawer but mostly four-drawer, are located in Central Receiving's fenced area on the south campus.
All that is required is to pick the one you want, provide a vehicle for loading and removal, and sign a UST property-release form. Sorry, ribbons and bows not included.
If interested, contact Bob Douglas, coordinator of Central Receiving, (651) 962-6388. Central Receiving is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Other pick-up times are possible if coordinated with Central Receiving.
File cabinets unclaimed by Friday, Dec. 18, will be recycled as scrap metal.
