St. Thomas Theologians to Discuss August Visit to Iran Oct. 10

Four members of the University of St. Thomas Theology Department will discuss a trip they took to Iran last month at a noon to 1:15 p.m. panel presentation Thursday, Oct. 10, in the third-floor Woulfe Alumni Hall in the Anderson Student Center on the St. Paul campus of the University of St. Thomas.

The faculty members, Bernard Brady, Michael Hollerich, Terence Nichols and Odeh Muhawesh, traveled to Iran in August to attend a Muslim-Christian dialogue conference at Al Mustafa University in Qom.

The group also visited sacred sites in Iran and met with religious, government and education leaders. They also had a number of chance meetings and conversations with people on the street.

The Oct. 10 program, free and open to the public, is co-sponsored by the Theology Department and St. Thomas’ Muslim-Christian Dialogue Center.

Those attending are welcome to bring a brown-bag lunch. Tea, coffee punch and cookies will be served.
