Commuter Center, USG announce snow emergency drive patrol

Volunteers from the Commuter Center and Off-Campus Services and members of the Undergraduate Student Government will roam Parking Lot H on the north campus from 9 to 11 a.m. and from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2. They’ll also patrol from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, near the Anderson Parking Facility on the south campus.

The volunteers will dispense Starbucks hot chocolate from beverage-dispensing backpacks as well as important snow emergency information. Ice scrapers will be placed under the windshield wipers of vehicles with commuter parking passes.

Students who miss the patrols in the lots can stop by the Commuter Center for information on winter parking, weather information sources, snow emergencies and emergency overnight accommodations. The center is located in the lower level of Murray-Herrick Campus Center.
