The Academic Counseling Department was well represented at the Region 6 National Academic Advising Association conference, May 18-20, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Drew Puroway presented, “Everyday Dilemmas: What Is Your Ethical Style?”; Tonia Jones Peterson presented “Advising Students of Color: Creating a Supportive Environment to Enhance Students’ Academic Experience”; and Berne Christiansen presented “The Withdrawal Effect: Impacts of First Semester Course Withdrawals on Students.”

Dr. Scott Wright, History Department , College of Arts and Sciences, is the author of essays on “Max Baer” and “[Rabbi] Harold S. Kushner,” which were published in Great Lives from History: Jewish Americans (Salem Press, 2011).
