Dr. Phil Anderson, Management Department, gave an invited speech, "Are Simulations Good 'Problems' for Problem-Based Learning Courses?" at the Universtiy of New England in Armidale, Australia. While in Australia, Anderson also worked with the Blue Mountains Hotel Management School on the design of a business management course for its program.

Dr. Mitchell Kusy, Organization Learning and Development Department, was the keynote speaker at the annual conference for 500 leaders at Park Nicollet Health. Kusy's address, "Debunking Eight Leadership Myths on Organizational Change," covered common misunderstandings of organizational change, along with "antidotes" to these "myths."

James Rogers, Center for Irish Studies, gave a talk, "It Didn't Start With Riverdance: The Origins of the American Fascination With Ireland," to the Irish Cultural Forum Jan. 31 in Detroit. Rogers argued that the American romance with Ireland began during the Kennedy years and is directly connected to the social upheaval of the later 1960s.
