Please remember in your prayers Father John Francis Riley, 87, who died Nov. 21.
Riley attended the Saint Paul Seminary. He taught at St. Thomas College in the Department of Religion from 1957-69 and served as chair of the department from 1967-69. After teaching at Augsburg for several years, Riley returned to St. Thomas College from 1980 until he retired in 1993. He was awarded tenure in 1983.
Mass of Christian burial was 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at Lumen Christi Catholic Church, 2055 Bohland Ave., St. Paul, with visitation held one hour prior to Mass at church.
