Parking Permit Now Required for Motorcycles and Scooters Parked on Campus

Due to the significant increase in motorcycle and scooter use, the university now will require parking permits for motorcycles and scooters parked in the surface parking lots on the University of St. Thomas' St. Paul and Minneapolis campuses. Motorcycles or scooters without permits may pay by the hour to park in the Anderson Parking Facility on the St. Paul campus, and the Hennepin and 10th Street ramp and the Harmon and 11th Street ramp in Minneapolis.

Motorcycle and Scooter permits cost $75 and are valid for the academic year. Individuals who purchase full-year commuter or faculty/staff permits can receive the motorcycle/scooter permit sticker at no cost.

With this permit, motorcycles and scooters are allowed to park at any designated motorcycle parking space in surface parking lots around campus: lots B, C, G, K and M. Motorcycles and scooters are not allowed to park at bike racks or to operate on sidewalks.

To purchase or register for the motorcycle and scooter permit, click on the Parking Services tab on Murphy Online. View directions to register here.

Pick up permits at the Parking Services office, 2119 Grand Ave. (corner of Grand Avenue and Finn Street).

The Parking Services office will be open extended hours for permit purchases during the first week of classes: 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 5 and 6, and Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 10 and 11.
