Residence Life Seeks Operation Manager Applications for 2011-12

Interested in serving in a formal paid leadership role on campus? Find out more at the operations manager information session at 5 p.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 2, or at noon Wednesday, Nov. 3. Both sessions will be held in the Koch Commons Fireside Room.

The responsibilities of the operations manager include: supervision of the hall’s desk and night-access attendant staff, working in close partnership with the hall supervisor, co-advising the hall council, and assisting with night-access and resident assistant training and development. Specific job duties may differ depending on the hall.

To be eligible for this position, students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or above, maintain a full academic load during employment, and consult with Residence Life regarding outside commitments (e.g., outside employment, intercollegiate sports, or co-curricular activities). Outside commitments of more than 10 hours per week must be reviewed upon application.

Application timeline

Applications will be available on Friday, Nov. 5. Applications will be due Monday, Nov. 29. Applicants who will be away during J-Term will be interviewed on Dec. 1, 2 and 3; all other applicants will be interviewed Jan. 17 and 18.
