Graduating in May 2013? Want to carry your country’s flag in the commencement ceremony? International students graduating in May will be able to carry their country’s flag in the commencement procession.
Students who would like to represent their country can click here to submit a form. The deadline to submit a form is Wednesday, April 10. The first person to sign up from a country will be that country’s flag bearer.
According to the St. Thomas Flag Policy approved by the President’s Office, only flags of countries that are member states of the United Nations can be carried. A list of the member states can be viewed here.
