Long-term Care Insurance Informational Meetings Available in April

Benefits-eligible employees who missed the March long-term care insurance informational sessions and still want to learn more about Genworth, our new provider, and the coverage options available, may sign up through The Leadership Academy for one of the remaining sessions being held on St. Thomas’ St. Paul and Minneapolis campuses through April 19.

Educational session dates and times are:

St. Paul Campus

April 16 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. MHC 155
April 17 9-10 a.m. MHC 155
April 17 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. MHC 155

Benefits-eligible employees age 65 or younger enrolling in this benefit by April 27 have an opportunity to obtain long-term care insurance as a guaranteed issue, which means no medical pre-existing condition restrictions will apply. After April 27, the insurance will continue to be available for purchase without the guaranteed issue, and normal underwriting restrictions will apply.

If you have any questions about this provider change or the long-term care insurance benefit, please don’t hesitate to contact the HR-Benefits team.
