Pre-Med 101 Workshop

The Health Professions Committee will host a Pre-Med 101 Workshop at noon Tuesday, Oct. 9, in Room 205, Murray-Herrick Campus Center. This workshop is intended for new first-year students, transfer students or anyone who wants a basic overview on preparing for a health professions program. Although the main focus will be medical school, students interested in other professions, such as dentistry, pharmacy and physician assistant, are encouraged to attend.

St. Thomas Health Professions Committee Evaluations

Students who are planning to apply to medical school during the 2013-14 cycle for matriculation in fall 2014 should be aware that the University of St. Thomas Health Professions Committee now provides committee evaluations. These evaluations are intended for students applying to osteopathic and allopathic medical schools. The committee letter is based on the student’s academic and disciplinary record, extracurricular activities, recommendations by three St. Thomas faculty members, and a 45-minute panel interview. These interviews will take place during spring semester. Look for more information to be available on the Pre-Health Professions website.
