It's no joke. Madison & Co., an Aveda Concept salon, is slated to open Tuesday, April 1, on the lower level of Anderson Student Center.
The salon will occupy the space once held by Estetica, which closed in December.
Tom Ford, owner of Madison & Co., said, "We at Madison & Co. are so excited to be here at St. Thomas and would love to meet as many Tommies as we can. So come in before May 15 and receive $10 off any first-time service valued at $20 or more."
The salon will offer men and women’s haircuts, coloring, straightening, facial waxing, manicures and pedicures. Men's haircuts will start at $24 for a short dry cut, $28 with a shampoo. Women's haircuts, with a shampoo and style, start at $35. A website for booking appointments online is in the works; however, appointments will not be a requirement, and walk-ins are welcome, Ford said. To make an appointment, call (651) 962-8220. Aveda hair care and OPI nail care products also will be available for purchase.
Salon hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Madison and Co., which is named after Ford's middle name, operates three other salons in the Twin Cities: one in downtown Minneapolis, one on the General Mills campus in St. Louis Park and one on the 3M campus in St. Paul.
