Support St. Thomas on Give to the Max Day Nov. 15

GiveMN will sponsor the fourth annual Give to the Max Day on Thursday, Nov. 15.

Last year, 47,534 donors supported their favorite cause and gave more than $13 million to Minnesota charities during the 24-hour event. The University of St. Thomas was one of nearly 4,000 nonprofit organizations to benefit from this generosity.

Event organizers are offering incentives to participate and opportunities to maximize gifts:

  • The Golden Ticket: Each hour of the daylong event, two donors (one donor to a nonprofit and one donor to a K-12 public school) will be selected randomly to receive “Golden Tickets,” meaning that $1,000 will be added to their charitable gifts. Two lucky donors could have $10,000 added to their gift if picked for the “Golden Tickets” at 11:59 p.m.
  • Prize grants ranging from $1,000 to $12,500 will be awarded to the 10 nonprofit organizations (from each category) that receive the most dollars during the 24-hour period. Categories include:
    • All nonprofits (excluding colleges and universities)
    • Medium nonprofits (nonprofits with budgets over $100,000 but under $1 million)
    • Small nonprofits (nonprofits with budgets under $100,000)
    • Colleges and universities

Leader boards on GiveMN.org will track which nonprofits are ahead of the pack. Learn more about Give to the Max Day by visiting GiveMN.org, where you also will find links to the supporting Facebook and Twitter sites.
