The Geology Department will host a Career Exploration Talk with two St. Thomas alums, Tonia O'Brien and Maggie Zimmerman, at noon today, Thursday, Oct. 21. The event will be held in Room 123, Owens Science Hall.
O'Brien has had a successful career in environmental consulting since she graduated in 2004, working in San Diego for several years before returning to Barr Engineering in the Twin Cities. Zimmerman completed a master's degree at University of Illinois, Chicago, and now teaches at St. Paul Community College.
They will discuss the training they needed to get and succeed in their current jobs.
