A Mass of Christian burial for Steven Hoffman was held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 30, in the Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas on the St. Paul campus of the University of St. Thomas. The campus tolled the chimes at 10:25 a.m. prior to the Mass and asked for a moment of silence in honor of Hoffman.
A reception with light refreshments followed at 11:45 a.m. in James B. Woulfe Alumni Hall, located on the third floor of the Anderson Student Center. At the reception, attendees had the opportunity to express their condolences to Hoffman's family.
In lieu of flowers, his family had suggested donations, in honor of Steve, to the following nonprofits: Friends of the Boundary Waters Wilderness, Fresh Energy, Clean Water Action Minnesota and Minnesota Public Radio.
