Faculty, staff invited to make history in 2010 Annual Campaign

With all of the excitement surrounding St. Thomas’ 125th anniversary, the stage is set for us to have the most successful Faculty and Staff Annual Campaign in the university’s history.

This year, it is our goal to achieve a 50-percent participation rate, a feat that never has been achieved. Considering that the 2009 campaign finished at 40-percent participation – a record – this is an attainable goal!

Faculty and staff members soon will receive the 2010 Faculty and Staff Annual Campaign pledge form that allows you to designate how your annual gift will be used. You can choose to support scholarships, departmental needs, professional development, any of the Opening Doors capital-campaign priorities or a variety of other areas. You determine where your gift will go.

You also may choose how to give your gift. You can give with a check, a credit card or the very simple and popular payroll deduction. The focus of this campaign is not on how much money we raise but on how many of us participate. Gifts of any amount are welcome and appreciated.

Help us to make history as the first Faculty and Staff Annual Campaign to reach 50-percent participation, and join the following departments that achieved 50 percent or higher participation in 2009:

  • School of Engineering – 100 percent
  • Institutional Advancement – 100 percent
  • Student Affairs – 91 percent
  • School of Law – 76 percent
  • Office for Mission – 70 percent
  • School of Social Work – 56 percent
  • Enrollment Services – 56 percent
  • College of Applied Professional Studies – 50 percent
  • Human Resources – 50 percent
