Explore Ashoka Changemaker Participation April 22 and 23

All are invited to discuss potential participation by St. Thomas in the Ashoka Changemaker Campus initiative.

Dr. Camille George, associate vice provost for global and local engagement, will host brown-bag lunch discussions on April 22 (St. Paul campus) and 23 (Minneapolis) about the initiative and proposed campus scan to document the university’s efforts to provide transformational educational experiences.

The discussions, sponsored by the Office of Global and Local Engagement, will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, in Room 100, McNeely Hall, and Thursday, April 23, in Room 202, Opus Hall.

George will explain the initiative, which includes the “360 Campus Scan,” a structured opportunity to evaluate collective efforts to embed social innovation as a core value. The scan will document the ways in which the University of St. Thomas currently transforms the educational experience to provide inspiration, connections and support for social change.

“These luncheons will begin a campus conversation to help build a cohesive vision,” George said. “Together we can plan a more integrated, inclusive and supportive environment that enables all units on campus to advance the common good.”
