The Bunch Who Lunch will host a presentation on the Dead Sea Scrolls by Dr. Paul Niskanen, associate professor, Theology Department, on Wednesday, Sept. 22. He will talk about the importance of the scrolls within the Christian and Jewish faiths, and the benefits of visiting the exhibit of the scrolls on display now through October at the Science Museum of Minnesota.
The presentation will be held from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Rogge-Leyden Room, Murray-Herrick Campus Center. All UST staff are welcome. A drawing will be held for free tickets to attend the exhibit of the 2,000-year-old scrolls. The scrolls shed light on a little-known period of religious history. They contain original texts from the Bible and writings about the laws and society of Jewish culture, giving a rare glimpse of what life was like around the time of Jesus.

Registrations to Linda Lee Borovansky are required by Wednesday, Sept. 15. Lunches can be brought or bought (half of a wrap sandwich, chips and soda). If buying a lunch, send a check for $6 per person, payable to the University of St. Thomas, to Mail #LOR 508, Attn: Bunch Who Lunch.
