    The Aquinas Scholars Honors Program is the undergraduate honors program at St. Thomas. The program is designed to enrich the educational experience of the school's most talented and dedicated students by creating a community of scholars dedicated to academic excellence and the ideals of a liberal arts education.

    First Year Experience

    The First Year Experience is designed to give you a foundational experience that will help you succeed at St. Thomas and give you a sense of belonging and community during your first year. It consists of a course called Foundations for College Success, plus a learning community. To fulfill the learning community requirement you must participate in either a Living Learning Community (LLC) or a Theme-Based Learning Community (TBLC).

    Include study abroad in your four-year plan. Students can choose from over 100 different programs in over 50 countries. Program duration varies and study abroad experience can be customized to allow students to complete internships and participate in service learning, in-depth research, or field-based study. Via study abroad, you can fulfill core requirements or take courses that count toward your major or minor. Your grants, loans, and scholarships can often travel with you.

These programs provide students with a sustained opportunity to learn and apply the tools of their fields to the questions that motivate them as thinkers. Student researchers work one-on-one with faculty mentors to pursue all parts of the research process, from proposal to presentation.
